National Gallery, Westminster

Wednesday 8 July - Sunday 17 January

Trafalgar Square, Charing Cross, London WC2N 5DN, UK

More expressive painting would be hard to imagine, this epic exhibition explores stories of classical mythology as imagined by Titian.

For the first time in centuries, six works commissioned by the future King Philip II of Spain in 1551, are united under one roof. The works capture intense, dramatic moments from the Ovid's series of epic poems 'Metamorphoses'.

As the gallery themselves say: 'this is a rare opportunity to enjoy some of the greatest paintings in European art.'
