BFI London Film Festival 2020

BFI, Southbank

Wednesday 7 October - Sunday 18 October

Belvedere Rd, South Bank, London SE1 8XT, UK

mixture of free and paid

This is exciting! Real life film screenings at the BFI! We had assumed the London Film Festival would be fully virtual this year. It would have been an understandable course for them to take. Instead, however, they've struck a balance between a widely accessible online offering and real screenings at BFI and across the country.

Top real life screenings:
Francis Lee's 'Ammonite'
Steve McQueen's 'Mangrove'
Chloé Zhao’s ‘Nomadland’
Pixar’s ‘Soul’
Garrett Bradley’s Sundance-winning documentary ‘Time’
Spike Lee’s ‘American Utopia’
and more...

And there will be heaps more available on the BFI Player and with some short films available for free. In total the festival will feature

As well as BFI Southbank, screenings will be shown at: Barbican, Ciné Lumière, Curzon Mayfair, Curzon Soho, ICA and Prince Charles Cinema.

Tickets on sale to the general public on September 21st.
